Description

The company ooking for Customer Program managers to work on the latest Mobile Computing Products, including Smartphones, Tablets, and unique embedded devices.  The role involves working directly with OEM and ODM customers on their products that include the company running Google Android, Google TV, Linux, Chrome OS, and Windows. The company offers this exciting opportunity to bring new, innovative devices to market.

 

Customer Program Managers work directly with customers as the primary point of contact for their design.  The customer program manager helps jointly define their product, negotiate features, deliver commitments, track the program, and coordinate between the customer, The company engineering, and 3rd parties.  Since customers are globally located this role requires travel to The company and customer sites.

Qualification

·         Intelligent with a low learning curve to quickly ramp up on new technology and products

·         Problem solving skills to navigate aspects of the complicated Mobile Computing Products.

·         Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills, and where required additional spoken and written local languages.  In addition to English, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese are an asset.

·         Experience writing technical documents: Product Requirements Documents, Statements of Work, Electrical/Mechanical Specifications, SW Developers Manuals, etc.

·         Translate cellular customer functional needs into IC and Systems requirements for the company designers.

·         Preferred Software experience, system hardware design, or silicon design knowledge

·         Ability to work in a matrixed, multi-site environment (engineering, marketing, sales).

·         Willingness and ability to contact customers at levels ranging from VPs to individual engineers directly and efficiently with little or no supervision.

·         Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.

·         Ability to prioritize customer requests to match available engineering resources.

·         BSEE, BSCS or BS Computer Engineering with 5 years experience.

·         Programming skills on applications processors.

·         Must have knowledge of handheld systems applications including multimedia (video, audio, camera), USB, etc.

·         Ability to negotiate with customer and internal The company teams.

·         Cellular protocol understanding and knowledge of carrier certification process will be a plus -- EDGE, UMTS, TD-SCDMA
